La Part des Lionnes is a striking expression of Gamay Saint-Romain from the high-altitude slopes of the Côte Roannaise in the Loire Valley. Fermented and aged in a combination of cement tanks and neutral 500 L barrels, then matured on fine lees, this wine reveals a vibrant aromatic profile: earthy licorice, nutmeg, mace, and subtle cured-meat notes. Unlike the fruit-forward Gamay of Beaujolais, Gamay Saint-Romain is distinctly more earthy, spicy, and savoury, offering a deeper, more terroir-driven expression of the grape. Medium-bodied with soft tannins and a precise mineral finish, the wine beautifully reflects the cool, volcanic, high-altitude vineyards of the Haut Loire.

✨ The winemaker: a story of rebirth
The name Reniteo comes from the Latin “to shine again,” symbolising the theme of rebirth at the heart of this domaine. Founded in 2021 by David Michelis, who made a bold career shift to pursue his love of wine, Domaine Reniteo embodies authenticity and renewal. David took over the Cave Alain Baillon and the former Domaine du Pavillon, crafting a small but expressive estate now undergoing organic and biodynamic conversion. Today, he produces thoughtful red, white, and rosé wines from Gamay Saint-Romain and Chardonnay, each reflecting the purity of this volcanic, high-altitude terroir.
