🌿 A miracle of precision, purity, and patience.

Destalking the grapes by hand, fermenting at cool temperatures, and practising the gentlest of extractions, Osamu Uchida crafts his wine with almost meditative restraint. There is no racking, and the wine is aged in one-year-old 500 L barrels, with no fining or filtration. The result is a Bordeaux of exceptional finesse: delicate in colour, silky in texture, and entirely free of oak heaviness.

On the palate, blackberry and blackcurrant dance with a bright, energetic freshness, while the tannins are seamlessly knitted in. A wine alive with vibrancy and lift—proof that Bordeaux can be graceful, pure, and modern all at once.

✨ The winemaker: Osamu Uchida
Born in Hiroshima and trained in both Japan and France, Osamu Uchida brings a uniquely Japanese sense of precision and calm to Bordeaux winemaking. From his small cellar—just 125 m from Château Mouton Rothschild—he produces only 2,400 bottles of Miracle each year, and only when nature allows. His approach in the cellar is as minimal as it is mindful, coaxing supple, succulent fruit into wines of extraordinary balance, purity, and modest alcohol (around 12%).

🌳 The vineyard
The grapes come from a tiny 0.6 ha parcel nestled among the cool, humid Landes forest in the village of Cissac-Médoc, west of Pauillac and St Estèphe. Planted exclusively with Cabernet Sauvignon, this secluded micro-vineyard is tended like a garden—where Osamu practises agroforestry and meticulous hand-work. Every vine receives obsessive care and attention to detail, resulting in fruit of breathtaking precision and energy.
