Liger Le Fleuve is a pure expression of 100% Gamay Saint-Romain, grown on a rare terroir of granitic arenas and barium-rich stone at around 450 m altitude. This elevated site gives the wine its striking mineral backbone and remarkable freshness, setting it apart from the rounder, fruitier Gamays of Beaujolais.
Vinified with whole clusters and a gentle 9-day infusion maceration using indigenous yeasts, the wine is then aged for 12 months in stainless steel tanks to preserve purity and tension.
On the nose, it reveals mineral and graphite aromas, followed by a palate bursting with precise red fruit, that signature peppery note, and a velvety, elegant structure. Fresh, focused, and incredibly poised, this Gamay Saint-Romain has serious aging potential—8 years and beyond.

This mineral-driven, peppery Gamay pairs beautifully with potato gratin, truffle and rosemary risotto, roasted poultry, or herb-infused pork dishes. For a vegetarian pairing, try it with mushroom ravioli or a beetroot and chèvre salad, which highlight the wine’s red-fruit brightness and elegant structure.
✨ The winemaker: a story of rebirth
The name Reniteo comes from the Latin “to shine again,” symbolising the theme of rebirth at the heart of this domaine. Founded in 2021 by David Michelis, who made a bold career shift to pursue his love of wine, Domaine Reniteo embodies authenticity and renewal.
David took over the Cave Alain Baillon and the former Domaine du Pavillon, crafting a small but expressive estate now undergoing organic and biodynamic conversion. Today, he produces thoughtful red, white, and rosé wines from Gamay Saint-Romain and Chardonnay, each reflecting the purity of this volcanic, high-altitude terroir.
